Adrian Peterson will not report to the start of organized team activities which was reported by Charles Robinson of Yahoo! Sports. With Adrian Peterson not reporting to the Vikings, it shows he most likely wants an immediate trade from the Vikings and wants to end his tenure there. Teams are willing to most likely trade for Peterson, but he cost too much, but I would pay for an offensive weapon like him. Also he is the best running back in the game right now. Some teams that would and could use his elite services includes a potential list of 4-5 teams easily. The list I put together includes the Bucs, Cowboys, Jaguars, Raiders. I don’t think the Bucs would pull the trigger on Adrian because they have 4 good running backs that have the potential to be a starting back in the NFL. The 4 running backs includes Charles Sims, Doug Martin, Mike James and Bobby Rainey. The Cowboys could fit the bill because first off its the Cowboys and what Jerry wants Jerry gets. Imagine Peterson behind that Pro Bowl caliber offensive line. He could and would break Eric Dickerson’s single season record of most rushing yards in 1 season. Also the cowboys don’t really have a big threat in the backfield. If McFadden can stay healthy he can help the Cowboys back to the playoffs. After McFadden there really isn’t anyone. The Jaguars could use him because of his leadership and help Bortles tremendously by running the ball more and use the pass on play action. They have a young backfield with Toby Gerhart who could be used as the fullback or running back, Denard Robinson, T.j. Yeldon, and possibly Storm Johnson and Bernard Pierce (see if they make 53 man roster). The Raiders have so much cap space that they could afford Peterson with no problems what so ever. Also they don’t have a feature back, but do have one if they give him lots of snaps and that is Latavious Murray. They have decent backups in Roy Helu Jr., Trent Richardson, and have some for a quality 3rd or 4th string, but these players will have to battle it out in camp and they include George Atkinson the 3rd, rookie Michael Dyer, and Taiwan Jones who reconverted back to the running back position. So it looks like Adrian could help out this group of backs in Oakland. So out of all the teams the Cowboys seem like the best destination for Peterson and it seems like his favorite destination.
