The 27 year old right handed rookie Chris Heston threw a no-hitter against the New York Mets beating them 5-0. Heston almost had a perfect game, but hit 3 batters that ruined his chances. The last rookie Giant to throw a no-hitter was Christy Matthewson back in 1912. This was the first no-hitter of the 2015-2016 MLB season.
