Getting Greener In Golden State

Tonight, the Golden State Warriors lock up forward Draymond Green to a 5 year deal worth $85 mil, according to Marc J. Spears of Yahoo Sports. With the Warriors locking up Green it is a clear sign they want to continue contending and the end of David Lee in Oakland. He plays hard every play and will play anywhere. If its the small ball rotation he is the center, but normally he usually plays the small forward or power forward position. He is one of the bigger vocal leaders on the Warriors roster. Draymond averaged over his career so far 6.9 points per game, 1.1 steals a game, 0.8 blocks per game, 2.1 assist and 5.5 rebounds a game. He does it all. Plays great defense and is good at 3’s and is good at mid range shots with a good post game. But doesn’t get ball much with Curry and Thompson. So he takes his shots when needed. He does it all and is worth a lot to the Warriors on the court and off the court, so thats why they paid him.

Green set career highs in important categories from this past season in points per game with 11.7, 1.3 blocks a game, 1.6 steals a game, assists with 3.7 a game and 8.2 rebounds a game. So overall, this was his best year in his career so far
