Matt Moore Season Debut

Went today to see Matt Moore finally make his season debut. Moore made a Long road from Tommy John surgery to be able to pitch today (First start since April 10,2014). Moore had some flashes and some not great moments. He had some control over some pitches and some he did not. He usually averages his fastball at 93mph to 96mph. He was touching a consistent 90mph on his fastball. He only touched 93mph once. He is returning from a serious injury and is dusting off the cobwebs. So Rays fans should expect him in his 3rd or 4th pitching outing to start hitting 93mph consistently. Moore outing looked like this today 4.2 innings pitched while striking out 4 hitters with only walking 2. He gave up 6 hits and was tagged with 4 earned runs. He didn’t get the loss in his record book. Its frustrating for Moore, but at the end he looked good and hope for him to bounce back and get the W next time out. Rays lost today 5-4 in 10 innings against the Indians. Also here is a quick video of him throwing a pitch in his warmup.
