Portland Keeps A Star !

Yesterday, remarks a special day in Portland aka Rip City! 24 year old Damian Lillard got paid like a superstar and this is how they get paid. For 5 years at a max contract for $120 mil, according to ESPN’s Marc Stein. According to Marc J. Spears of Yahoo Sports the deal can lead up to between $125 mil to $129 mil. Lillard has out played his rookie contract since day one and has help lead his team to the playoffs. Now with LaMarcus Aldridge set to leave and become a Spur or whoever else pays him and he decides to go too, Lillard will have to prove he can make it to the playoffs with Aldridge and officially show the NBA world that he can lead the Trail Blazers. Lillard has averaged over his 3 year career 20.2 points per game, 6.1 assists a game, almost 1 steal a game (0.9) and has shot a field goal percentage of .429 and has never missed a game in his NBA career so far. Also his 3 point percentage is a .368. Lillard set some key career highs this past season. Those are his points per game with 21, steals at a 1.2 per game, field goal percentage at .434, Per Basketball-Reference. He broke other career highs, but those are the important ones. Lillard ranked 4th this past season in points per game with 21 a game. Lillard is worth every penny the Trail Blazers has put into keeping him around. Rip City is in joy right now that they know they have a top player in the league on their team for a long time.
