Giants Add Another Veteran

Today, the Giants and veteran receiver James Jones agreed to a one year deal, according to CSN reporter Fallon Smith. James Jones was cut after the draft by the Raiders. He signed a 3 year deal in the 2014 off-season. Jones had a good year in Oakland. He recorded in 73 receptions, 666 yards and 6 touchdowns, per Pro-Football-Reference.com. He was their best receiver and was cut due to the Raiders drafting Amari Cooper and signing Michael Crabtree. Jones picked the Giants over 4 other teams that includes the Seahawks, Eagles, Bengals, and Chiefs, per Ian Rapoport. He most likely picked the Giants over those teams due to his relationship with Giants offensive coordinator Ben McAdoo. McAdoo was with Jones in Green Bay from 2007 to 2013. Jones has a good chance on making the team and battling with Rueben Randle for the  3rd receiver spot. He knows what McAdoo runs offensively because it is similar to Green Bay.
