Today, the Titans bolster their cornerback group by signing Brice McCain to a two-year deal worth a cheap $5 mil, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com. McCain is 29 years old and has plenty of experience in the NFL.
In addition, McCain will play in the slot (nickel) in Tennessee, which is his stronger suit. He had a good year in Miami last season, but with a new head coach in Adam Gase, he was cleaning some house and McCain ended up on the wrong side of it.
In fact, McCain entered the league back in 2009 with the Texans and in 2014 he eventually left Houston and found himself playing for Dick Lebeau in Pittsburgh. Funny thing is that McCain will reunite with Lebeau in Tennessee. The Titans will have a nice group of corners in McCourty, Cox, McCain, and Wreh-Wilson.
Finally, the 29-year-old started 10 out of the 14 games he participated in. Also, he played 735 defensive snaps for the Dolphins in 2015, picking up an interception to go along with 39 tackles.
