Today, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers added a new face to their defense in Josh Robinson. He is a corner that spent his whole NFL career in Minnesota. This defense kept similar faces in Keith Tandy, Chris Conte and bought in other defensive players from other teams like Robert Ayers and Brent Grimes.
In addition to the signing, the 25-year-old corner is a one-year rental (Buccaneers announced) and will help the defense by adding pure speed in the nickel spot or even on the outside. The Bucs continue to address key needs before the draft. Now, with the Bucs loading up on weaker positions, expect them to draft either Myles Jack or Noah Spence to fill big holes.
Finally, The Central Florida product had a good run with the Vikings by playing in 42 games with 21 starts for Minnesota. Over that span, he racked up 146 tackles, five interceptions, 15 passes defensed and a forced fumble. Lastly, the speedster’s 2015 campaign fell short due to an unfortunate pectoral injury suffered prior to the season that only allowed him to participate in 5 games.
