Today, the Orlando Magic re-signed shooting guard Evan Fournier to a lucrative deal for $85 mil over the next five years, according to Marc J. Spears.
Fournier is going to be a big piece to Orlando’s success this season and will see more minutes now on the court with Oladipo gone and with the lack of top guards on the roster. He average 32.5 minutes per game and should hit 35 minutes now.
In addition, the 23-year-old started 61 of the 79 games he played in. He shot 46 percent from the field and 40 percent behind the arc. He averaged 11.8 shots per game and will be asked to shoot more. The Frenchman scored 15.4 points per game, which was the third highest on the team behind Vucevic and Oladipo.
Finally, it will be the Vucevic and Fournier show in Orlando with Serge Ibaka watching over the international duo.
