Today, the Gunners officially got the right-back to commit to the team by signing a deal that will keep him in Arsenal through the 2023 season. He will now make £100,000 a week, according to Standard Sport.
Now, this deal makes Bellerin look like the most valuable right-back in the world. He is a well known player around the world, as some of the biggest clubs in futbol like Manchester City and FC Barcelona had interest in his elite services.
In addition, the 21-year-old star honestly did not want to leave Arsenal as he told Standard Sport, “I was very happy when Arsenal showed interest in me and I decided to come here. I’m not looking back, I’m just looking to help Arsenal.”
Furthermore, the club is happy with his progression and so is his gaffer, Arsene Wegner. Wegner only has great words to express his satisfaction in the Spaniard’s development by saying “I think he loves as well to be here and he has responsibilities already in the dressing room for such a young age. It’s something remarkable.”
Finally, Bellerin has emerged as one of the Premier League’s top defenders following his breakthrough in the 2014/15 season and continues to deliver for the Gunners. He has appeared in 11 games this year and picked up one assist. Overall, he has appeared in 67 EPL games and scored three times, plus assisting eight times.
