Orlando City Adds Spector

Today, the Orlando City Lions continue to bolster their defense, as they just signed Jonathan Spector from Birmingham City, according to the club.

Spector is a versatile defender that can play some defensive midfield, but mostly anywhere on the back line as a full back or centre back.

The U.S. National team defender has 36 appearances for his country and also he brings tons of experience from all English football leagues and especially the top tiers in England.

Finally, Orlando City have been seeking another defender and I think they hit the jackpot on this one. Lions general manager Niki Budalic is pleased to have Spector in Orlando by saying “We are thrilled to add a player of Jonathan’s pedigree to our roster.”

Note: Spector is joining a new revamped back line and goalie Joe Bendik should be happy on what the team has so far done to improve the defense.
