The Toffies are set to land a brilliant young and upcoming Croatian star in Nikola Vlasic for around €10m (£9.26m) deal per Paul Joyce of The Times.
The Hajduk Split winger will be one of the last pieces Ronald Koeman signs this summer. The only thing they will sign after landing Vlasic is a world-class striker in Diego Costa or Jamie Vardy.
Now, Vlasic was found by Everton after they faced the 19-year old winger in the recent Europa League playoff.
Furthermore, Vlasic has scored 10 goals in 85 appearances for Hajduk Split since breaking into the starting eleven on the senior squad and he is a Croatia under-21 international that most likely had other top teams looking at him from his international play.
Finally, Vlasic is set to join an up and coming roster that has dynasty written all over it after what Koeman has bought in via the transfer window and the stellar develop of the youth like for example, signing Michael Keane and the growth of young midfielder Tom Davies.
Note: Vlasic fits Ronald Koeman’s attacking system by drifting wide and then cut inside with ease. From a roster look, Everton’s wide men several years from now could be Henry Onyekuru on one side and Nikola Vlasic on the other.
Scouting Report: Vlasic is not afraid to shoot the ball when the opportunity arises, plus he has a nice flair shoot from his right foot. Also, he improves the team’s off the ball movement when in possession. Lastly, he is very creative.
