The Arizona Coyotes re-signed their last restricted free agent in Anthony Duclair to a one-year pact worth $1.2MM, per Sarah McLellan of AZ Central.
Now, the 22-year old winger has to show out this year, if he wants to receive a nice deal from the Coyotes or any team interested in his services. I say that due to the fact that he had a horrific sophomore campaign and it resulted in a demotion for the last 24 games of the hockey season.
In his sophomore season, he recorded only five goals and 10 assists in 58 games. That is a disappointment after he broke out in his first year with the Coyotes (20 goals, 24 assists). He participated in 44 games.
Finally, I think the young talent coming up and the new acquisitions they picked up this off-season will allow Duclair to have a successful junior season.
