To start the season, Jared Sullinger signed a two-month deal to play overseas in China for the Shenzhen Leopards.
Now, after a brilliant start for the former NBA big man, he is now receiving a full-season deal, per international basketball reporter David Pick.
In addition, the new agreement with the Leopards includes bonuses that could increase the value of his deal to $1.4MM.
His brilliant start to the season consists of a whopping 34.0 points per game and a league-high 15.6 rebounds per game. Those remarkable numbers have help lead his team to a winning record (5-4).
Finally, if Sullinger finishes the year with those numbers or anything close to them, he will get more looks from NBA teams looking for big men help.
Note: Sullinger, a former first-round pick who spent five NBA seasons with the Celtics and Raptors.
