The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are continuing to spend money on their own free agents. They started today by extending Cameron Brate and now they have just re-signed veteran cornerback Brent Grimes and linebacker Adarius Glanton.
First off, Brent Grimes will receive a one-year deal for a whopping $10MM, according to Michael Silver of NFL.com.
Bringing back Grimes for a one-year deal is perfect, as it gives the secondary some stability.
Grimes finished last year with three interceptions, 11 pass deflections, and 49 tackles in 13 games.
Next, Ian Rapoport reported that Adarius Glanton will return to the Buccaneers on a one-year deal worth $790K with a $250K signing bonus.
Now, Glanton is a vital piece on this team, as he is a special team ace and a solid fourth linebacker.
The Florida Atlantic product has appeared in 35 games for the Bucs over the past three years, and started four contests in 2017.
Finally, in 2017, Glanton posted career highs in tackles (31) and recorded his first career sack and forced fumble.
Note: The Buccaneers are looking at bringing back Robert McClain.
