The former Manchester United and Everton star Wayne Rooney has decided it is time to start a new chapter in his career, as he is heading to the states to play soccer in the MLS.
The deal agreed between both parties is about £12.5m. Multiple reports have announced the agreement.
Rooney was Everton’s top scorer with 11 goals this season in 34 matches. The team struggled to produce goals and especially with a talented mix of players on the attacking end of the pitch.
Rooney would give DC United that it-factor impact in the offensive zone that they have lacked since Jamie Moreno retired and left the club after the 2010 season.
Pairing Wayne Rooney with Darren Mattocks, Luciano Acosta, Paul Arriola, and Yamil Asad in any given time would put fear in the opposition’s eyes.
Finally, Rooney’s best achievements at a club level has been becoming Manchester United’s record goal scorer, winning five Premier League titles, and the Champions League.
