Today, Valencia C.F. has announced that they are in talks with Atlético de Madrid for forward Kevin Gameiro. The transfer fee has yet been released to the public.
Expect the fee to be close to what Atlético de Madrid played for him. That number should be near €32 million to €40 million.
Gameiro will join a talented striking group that includes loanee Michy Batshuayi (Chelsea), Simone Zaza, Rodrigo Moreno, and Santi Mina.
Gameiro knows the highest level of the Spanish league (La Liga) well as he has played in the league since 2013. He left PSG for Sevilla, which was his first team in La Liga and then he joined Atlético de Madrid.
In addition, between those two Spanish teams, he has scored a total of 58 goals in 148 caps. Overall, he has scored 140 times between all senior teams and international play in his career.
Finally, Valencia C.F. gets a stud at the top of the starting lineup, plus KG can move out to the wing spot if asked to do so. He is a clinical finisher that lives for the big moment.
