Earlier Today, Società Sportiva Calcio Napoli decided to pick up the buy-back option on goalkeeper David Ospina for £4.8million from Arsenal, according to Italian daily Il Mattino. They are signing him permanently. His contract will run through the 2022 season.
Colombian international Ospina impressed boss Carlo Ancelotti on loan at the Serie A side last term, which led to this move being explored and now happening.
Ospina made 24 appearances for Napoli last term keeping eight clean sheets helping the club contributed to a second place finish behind Juventus. He started all six of Napoli’s Champions League group stage games.
Lastly, Napoli buying Ospina, they will look to make another push for a top-three finish, which has happened four years in a row.
